”The Patch. A garden for all seasons” by Jim Almond

Raffle and plant sales table.

A seasonal look at the plants amassed in the amazing garden created by Margaret Owen in Shropshire. Four national collections (Camassia, Dictamnus, Nerine and Veratrum) plus many other genera. The year will start with Snowdrops, Narcissus Fritillaria and Trilliums and then move on to summer interest with Clematis and Lilies.

Colchicum and an amazing display of Nerines bring the year to a close

“Fantastic Foliage” by John Foley PLUS AGM

John is a familiar figure at flower shows where he has won numerous trophies and awards. A former and present BBC Young Gardener of the Year he and his wife Kate run the Holden Clough Nursery in the beautiful Ribble Valley. He will share with us his recommendations from the eclectic range of foliage plants available at his nursery.

Woodstock is an established country garden of ¾ acre with form, texture and a green tapestry all year round. Established from a barren wilderness to one with wildlife, amidst tall trees, shrubs, mixed borders pond, veg patch, woodland area and stream.8,Andertons Mill is a ½ acre cottage garden started in 2010, with many colourful borders of perennials, shrubs and roses. A patio with raised beds, arches and many wrought iron features, an extensive bed of scented roses and a wonderful view of Harrock Hill.
