‘Scents and Desirability by Andrew Ward

Members:  £1.50, non-members: £3.00, including refreshments.

 Raffle and plant sales table.

Andrew lectures widely throughout the country. He trained as a Plant Breeder and started Norwell Nurseries and gardens 22 years with his wife Helen

The garden holds over 2,500 plants and has featured in many gardening publications. It is renowned for colour from spring until autumn when the National Collection of hardy Chrysanthemums can be seen.

“The Making of A Nursery” by Andrew Tumilty & Anna Hale

Members:  £1.50, non-members: £3.00, including refreshments.

Andrew has been growing ornamental plants from an early age, even selling home-grown bedding plants and baskets outside his parents’ house while still at school. This passion then led to his setting up Sunnyfields in Hightown in 2002, still aged just 16, soon after to be joined in the business by his younger sister Anna. The talk leads us through the intricate steps of setting up their business.

“Restoring Halecat  Nursery” by Abi & Tom Attwood

Their mission on the nursery is to grow hardy beautiful plants that will thrive in your garden. The site is split into two distinct areas; the Growing Hub where on just an acre of land they grow over 1000 different perennials ranging from ground hugging Thyme to the loftiest 2 metre high Meadow Rue.
